Turkey Day!

You may be as sad as I was to find out that ... I had to work on Thanksgiving Day; one of the few days that it is ok to be lazy and eat as much as you want. Even though we had to work, the day went very fast. That night, I went over to a student's parents' house to eat dinner. There were about 20 of us, including Pastor Paul and his family, so I wasn't alone. I ate so much that I was hurting the next day. On "Thanksgiving Friday," while people in America were staking out the malls and stores to get the best deals on Christmas gifts, I was at Pastor Paul's house eating a Thanksgiving meal like we should have done on Thursday. We even had the Macy's Day Parade from last year playing in the background and then later they put up the Christmas tree. I was glad to have celebrated with them. I still miss my family and friends in the States.
