Kenyan Post-Election Update
The violence in Kenya is little to none. You may still hear of skirmished every now-and-then, but it really does seem like things are getting back in order. Even the use of the word "skirmish" is used jokingly now. A person late to work might make the excuse that there was a skirmish and that is why he/she was late to work.
The peace mediations are still in work. The two sides are still trying to work on an agreed type of power-sharing. You never know what you hear is true, but I do feel that things are getting back to normal. On Sunday night, there was even a police check-point/road-block where they normally do them on Limuru Road, near the UN and the US Embassy. The police haven't been doing them since the end of December, but with their return, it is comforting that even the police are going back to their original posts.
Keep praying for Kenya and the peace process.
